We are dedicated to the exploration of the creative arts.
The Cobre Valley Center for the Arts is in downtown Globe, Arizona. This former 1906 Gila County Courthouse houses an active art, theater and music community. The Center’s mission, as a 501(c)3 organization, is to advance the arts and art education in our local communities, as well as to provide and maintain these facilities as a thriving, historic art center. It has been lovingly restored and improved by volunteers over the past nearly 40 years.
The first level has a piano classroom, a dance studio, and a display dedicated to Rose Mofford. She was the first female governor in Arizona and was born and raised in Globe. The second level hosts several art galleries, displaying pieces from local artists, including paintings, prints, photography, sculptures, ceramics and quilting. The third level is a theater for performances put on by the Copper Cities Community Players, who display their talents regularly throughout the year.
The Center is a treasure and continues to serve as a focal point for art, theater and music community in the Globe area. You can read more about the history and architecture of the building here.

** We are a pet-friendly establishment.
The second floor of the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts is filled with the works of many local artists, including photography, paintings, sculpture, copper work, jewelry, quilts and many other beautiful, hand-crafted items.
We offer a variety of classes to children, youth and adults. You can find more details about current and upcoming offerings here.
The Copper Cities Community Players put on several performances a year, including a Spring and Fall Production, Mother’s Day Tea, Ghosts of Globe and other activities.
Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a resident, there is sure to be a hidden gem that will delight you. Here’s a list of activities to peruse for your next outing.
